Paris Syndrome

Something was missing. And I'm talking about the guide. It wasn't missing from the city, it was missing from my heart. Though, I think the Eiffel Tower disappeared for just a split second. Of course, no one else was looking. I think that all the lights went out, as well, but then again, nobody could see.
I thought I would fall in love, but all I've done is fall apart. I still wonder if I landed in France, or the plane took a roundabout way to Idaho. It's colder than I imagined. And even though there are still some lights, it's darker as well.
